Why am I not surprised to see this on BARF? You know someone's gonna buy one of Mladin's bikes, put some lights and an extended swingarm on it, then rock it with a suction cup mohawk at bike nights.

I'm not at all surprised to see it on BARF.  The signal to noise ratio there might be waaaaaaay off (which is why we think it's populated only by idiots), but it's actually filled with a shitton of riders who have forgotten more about riding and racing than we'll ever know.

Considering how much club racers spend on their bikes at the higher levels of amateur racing, grabbing one of those bikes would save someone a lot of money and give them a pretty pimped ride.   waytogo

So how possible/financially feasible would it be to acquire the necessary electronics, including  traction control?

Not really knowing what they were using....

I'd guess $15k - $20k for all the Motec bits and TC (Bazzaz?).

Lots of pro AMA bikes go up for sale each year. It's very common. I rode an ex AMA GSXR1000 just a few weeks ago. The power of those is insane!
The KWS factory Aprilia bikes are on sale right now. For what you get it's well worth buying these ex pro team bikes. As someone mentioned, people usually put that much into them to race anyway. I see lots of guys buy these as soon as they go up for sale.

I don't know why that saved so small Huh?  It's at their website here: http://www.kwsmotorsports.com/custompage2.htm  It's marked down to $14,9!! That's a killer deal.

That's what I'm talking about. Didn't the 749r/848 AMA FX bikes sell for approx. $11K? I can't remember exactly but it was close to that. Sorry...I see these all the time so I can't always remember what they sell for.
