Gonna demo a 675 tomorrow. Anybody have experience with em?  I really hope I don't like it more than my Monster.  Rode an 848 two weeks ago and hated it. Killed my wrists real quick.

I pitted with a guy last summer at Miller who had one. It was a nice bike. A tad slower than my 848...but just barely, and only noticeable on Miller's long ass straight.

I doubt it would be much more comfortable than an 848...but who knows. Heli Bars made a HUGE difference for comfort on my 848.

Don't do it man. You'll end up like me, counting pennies until you can get one.

hold on, i just jizzed. 675=omg.

If you can deal with not having the extra 8-10 hp, the monoblock brakes, and different headlight + exahust, id go for a used 06/07/08. they can be had for pretty cheap. 5500k.

Screw that the 09's are worth it.

Ahhhh I would stay away.  Once you crack the throttle on that thing the stupid grin on your face will reach your ears!

The motor on that bike is pure perfection.

I just sold mine.  It was a great bike, but I liked the V-twin punch too much.  Plus, the triple needs to rev to really sing.  It's no where near as bad as an I4, but it is much better on full boil.

One thing though, their ergos are a bit more aggressive than the 848s that I have ridden.

Thanks everyone for their input.  My demo is at 2 pm today. Spent quite a bit of time last night staring at the Duc and wondering if the Triumph would satisfy me the same way. Guess I will find out this afternoon.  I have clip ons on the monster but they were nowhere as aggressive as the 848. I'm hoping the triumphs suspension isn't as stiff as the 848 but that may also have been lack of setup.  When I sat on it the sag was probably in the 1/4 - 1/2 inch range.  Very stiff. Also turn in sucked but that was probably just me.  What suprised me about the 848 was how cheap it felt while riding. Seemed to rattle over bumps and was quite disconcerting although I could probably also attribute this to the suspension set up. Anyways I'm waiting till two and almost hoping I don't like the 675.

One thing with the Daytona, turn in can be VERY quick depending on how the fork is set in the triples. I almost shit my pants the first time I went to throw mine into a turn and the bike felt like it was dropping straight to the ground.   [laugh]

That's all suspension set-up issues on the 848. They come set very stiff. I had mine adjusted 1/2 way thru my 1st trackday on it and it was like night and day!

+1. A friend of mine put an Ohlins shock (with correct spring for his weight) on his and he swears the difference is night and day.

I have a 675, and all I have to say is the punch that triple produces, is pure perfection.  As far as comfort, it depends on the rider but the riding position is very aggressive and will take some getting use to.  The positioning of the bike actually forces you downwards vs. sitting level, so you will need to use your legs to reduce the weight transfer.  All around great bike, I'm sure you will be coming home with a new bike after the demo.   [beer]

DRKWNG

He probably will.  I almost wish I had not sold mine, but after sinking so much money into my SC (got it to where it handles better IMO than the Daytona) I just didn't see the need for two bikes that were focused in the same direction.  Sold it to get a KTM, put a deposit on an SD and then the wife hits me with news that she is moving out...  FML...
