I'm not really sure what I think about reservoirs THAT low. (not the 999 style coffins).

You have to have it so there's no air bubble chance - the low point is the master, the high point being the top of the reservoir surface.

The 999 reservoirs are fine because the reservoir is mounted smack on top of the master, no height issues at all.

sweet, so if i procure a set of 999 reservoirs i can just plunk them down on my Nism MC's, correct? While I'm at it, would there be a benefit to replacing the tubing with clear? Anyone know if the reservoirs can be painted? sorry for all the questions, I'm just a noob when it comes to italian fluids

That is soooo hot! Yours? I love those forks too! Any issue with air bubbles with those reservoirs being so low?

his meet the height I was talking about before. If you mount them "below" the master, that's where you'd have problems.

kopfjager is running the same master cylinder / reservoir set up that I am, but with a different mount location.

I don't think the 999 reservoirs will mount to anything but 999 masters.

Thats is correct. Well almost correct. They could be made to fit any of the radial masters that come on the Ducatis. But why bother as the 999 masters are listed for sale on Ebay a lot and are not very expensive.

Alright, So I'm looking into swaping out to 999 MC's. I saw some on ebay for about 200, is that what I'm looking at spending per side?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ducati-749-999-Radial-Front-Brake-Master-Cylinder-Res_W0QQitemZ280383741523QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item41482c5e53

are they normally cheaper or more expensive?
would that include what I need to make the swap?
If I'm gonna do the swap, should I also change out the rear?
TIA for the Help

Seems about right, They aren't all that cheap...Although cheaper than buying new stuff.  ISR and Beringer both make radials with integrated masters that are really nice but pricey.

If you decide on smaller reservoirs you can buy 15cc brembo stockers for pretty much nothing, this is the same size as the rear brake.  For clear tubing you want to use tygon, in my experience clear tubing is fun and pretty but it seems to collapse easier if you're trying to give it a tightish radius...totally usable but just something to think about.

Wow! Great advice/FHE! I Think im gonna go with the 15cc cup first. Any good place to find it, or should I just check ebay? any particular one to look for? I saw people selling them from thialand but i was kinda skeptical of it (5 reservoirs for 40 bux)

any pro/con to getting the 45 vs the straight fitting?

Depends on the orientation of the inlet on your master/distance/height/angle etc.
