I have an office PC that needs some work. Anyone know a good technician that can give me a fair price?

The pc shuts down on it's own and when turned back on reads the following message: "something ... Thermal Shutdown ... something else.."

Here's the symptoms:
- The fan turns on quickly after start up
- Fan works really hard and blows air well
- Shut down after 5 or 6 minutes, sometimes sooner

how old's the machine?  could just be you need to blow all the dust and crap out of the box, could be a failure in the thermal switch, could be a virus!

Not very old, 2-3 years.
I don't have time to diagnose it myself. That's why I need a tech.  Grin

Don't know any independent techs or anyone on that side of town.

Barring any viruses a flakey computer that shuts down on it's own usually means the power supply ich kaput.  Happened to me twice. BTW never put your computer on the carpet especially when the ps is located in the bottom of the case.  Roll Eyes
