BMW Will Manufacture Inline Six-Cylinder Tourer: Previewed by the Concept 6.  The concept bike looks like a sport bike, but the tourer the six goes into will be intended to knock off the Goldwing as the luxury touring champ.

well, it's not like the rt is a slouch.

i'm not sure how much of a "tourer" this is gonna be given the ergonomics and lack of obvious mount points for hard luggage.

it also appears to be a solo "tourer."

Sure is!  I would be interested to see how they could possibly pull off mounting the engine in line with the wheels, a la MotoCzyzz's design.

I think the concept bike is just to show off the engine (which is gorgeous). I really want to hear it run. If it sounds anything like the old Honda CBX's it'll sound really cool.

But BMW already has a bike that's Goldwingesque...  Wink

That thing looks like a touring missile. Like when people tour on 'Busa's (does that really happen?) or maybe ZX-14s instead of a Contour 14.
