Looked everywhere, and searched on here. Aside from taking mine out and powder coating them, I havent found them in color. Mostly titanium or aluminum only. Any ideas?

couple of questions.
1) the AL bolts require different tq specs?
2) the anodizing fades?
3) what are the concerns with Mag parts and TI or SS bolts?
ok that's a few not a couple

1) Using AL bolts on the case covers is not a high stress application like footrest bolts or triple clamp bolts, so its OK to use them there. The torque specified in the book is pretty low, there are like 10 or more per side.
2) You betcha, but only with sunlight (UV rays).
3) No concerns with mag parts and Ti or SS bolts, the mag case cover in the DP catalog usually comes with a Ti sprocket cover too. They aren't going to react by contact.

Thank you for the link and suggestions. Still on the fence about using aluminum, even if it is just for the case covers

We can do Ti ano, but it ends up being pink, not read.....which, btw, is exactly what the red ano'd aluminum will look like after about a month's worth of sun (maybe less).
If you are going for the hello-kitty look, it would work out sweet

For what it is worth, we at BMW are now using aluminum bolts for valve covers, intake manifolds, engine peripherals, and last of all, transmission bell housing bolts. If it can stand up to a 200 lb transmission hooked up to a 300hp engine, it can handle the clutch and alternator cover on a duc.

I had ali on my case and valve covers etc. It looked ok, but it sucked for maintenance. If it gets a little seized up you'll strip the head or break it right off. I went for stainless, I hated the ali for it's weakness.

oh, and off of what howley was saying, any new bolt going in the bike gets anti-seize or some type of threadlocker. (don't get nuts with the red kind!)
