Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

What happened to the idea of always being able to bring the bike back to stock?

S'pose it had just been too long between mods and you were looking for something (and there was not really that much left to do).

Now we have a photo of the redundant part, what about the rest?

one day not so long ago i've decided that this bike is definitely a "keeper" hence the decision. always liked the look but the thought of re-sale problems was stopping me.....not any more

well, we're half way there. the chop is done, now just re-installing the blonkers and a number plate ..........and presto. but it looks hot so far  waytogo

Heh, 'tis a brave man that attacks HIS own bike with cutting tools!! Grin

Even though you might be capable of doing the cut yourself, getting someone else to do it and it doesnt quite hurt so much. waytogo

And of course you can be supervising  drink cheeky

Doing it yourself is part of the fun in my view.
When I did mine it was an early Saturday morning like 5am.
And it was done and out riding by lunchtime.

I loved doing it, it was just the first time the saw hit the frame that was the hardest thing.

And re-sale well, it will sell when I'm ready but that is far in the distance right now.

I may be long, but I fold up nicely

yeah, taking the hacksaw to the end was tough, I think I measured the 85mm about 4 times before the cut.

The mechanic thought I was insane when I rocked up with the number plate taped on....I couldn't drill the carbon for the plate or the indicators!

Waiting on those pictures Melvin! those will be great.

i actually haven't thought of taking pictures. the one with a sparks flying i took with my mobile

however, sydmonster, who is the master of ceremony and THE MAN performing the operation, had a presence of mind to have a camera ready and kept on taking pictures as he progressed. no dubt he will post them somewhere as well as i'll get a copy and put them on my flickr
you all well see the end result as than i will take a few pics myself as well

I'm sure it's do-able Melvin.

as I said today can't wait to see it.
We'll have to visit the wall the week after for some new photos.
