THAT reminds me   [bang]

if we all say "pretty please" to sydmonster he might finish the bike by tomorrow early evening so i can ride it to our first social meeting

so, sydmonster, what say you? is it doable, mate?    ;D

Hey melvin & OZmon's....
I have to appologize. Im doing the chop afterhours (or afterwork/hell/prison etc) and whilst the actual chop is done. I haven't had a chance to go and get materials to make the new bracket to hold the light and number plate etc...
So unfortunately the bike won't be ready for tonights social... my bad. :P
But I have taken pics and will have somethin ready for Melvin to pick up very soon. - Chris

ps, Melvins bike has sooo many little details. Every time I go to do something I catch something new. Like I didn't see that he had special stickers made up for his screen... top ride, it really is HOT  [thumbsup]!

perfection; and only perfection is acceptable when dealing with monsters; requires time. we all shall wait patiently for the results
thanks again, chris

...and with time comes progress  ;). You will all hate me, but I have no pics at this moment to show  :P.

I made several trial brackets. There is lots to consider specially with the tail light; the bottom of the Sargent seat has a special mould to house the taillight. How this space is used is really determined by the brackest; they let the taillight sit in there as best as possible.
Then I had to design a setup so the special LED blinkers Melvins got could be mounted securelty but also really neatly so that it didn't take away from the tail chop. Also Melvins blinkers are a little fragile, so I had to come up with a way so they would stick out & avoid being knocked off. In the end the same brackets that hold the tail light also hold the blikers, this makes for a really neat integrated look.

so...  currently we have...  [evil]
a) Brackets have been made & installed
b) Tailight mounted as snug as the Sargent seat would allow me.
c) Blinkers are mounted, into the same integrated bracket as the tailight, again as snug as room will allow.

Rego plate, light & resistors to come next.
Plus pics to come!  [thumbsup]

I'm still umming and aahhhing, I pack too much shit in my bag for work and I guess I will have to get out of that habit if I am going to use a backpack again. When I first got my rack, it was great, because my pack was just too damn heavy and dragging my shoulders down, but then i got the Ventura, I felt heaps more comfy on the bike. [thumbsup]

Which brings me to this.....something BIG happening next week. [moto] [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Maybe a solution and of course there are different options and prices.

That does look pretty neat, may have to look into it a bit more.

I just hate covering the bike up with baggage, just want it to look uncluttered. ;)

well, the bike is finished, picked it up today

as with everything, the beauty is in the eye of e beholder but i'm more than ecstatic about the end result
chris has done FANTASTIC job; precision is second to none, workmanship is outstanding. now the bike has got a custom made bracket, new wiring for the blinkers incl moving the resistor. everything is absolutely perfect

so, chris, i am more than grateful for what you've done for me, the beer is definitely on its way
thanks again, mate    [thumbsup]
