heck yeah, buy those and put in a 25mm ohlins valve kit and have them sprung for you and you would be all set to rock n roll.

I've been following this thread since i've been toying with upgrading the suspension on my M620.  Saw this today.

The complete front end of an R1.  Is it possible to swap out the forks, triples, and controls?!?!?!

I imagine you'd have to see if the the wheel axle size, fork spacing, brake rotor size/spacing, and the steering... er, tube? and bearings... will all match up.

Uh yeah, don't count on it.  I know some years of the R1 came with 50/54 forks but I'm not sure we ever made a definitive list here.  Swapping triples and having them actually work is something I would not count on at all but you can always increase our knowledge base here by buying some R1 forks and measuring them for us Grin

i always wondered if it were possible to install triples from another bike. but most of those sport bikes dont have the same rake as ours so youd have to do some modding for them to fit...might as well buy aftermarket at that point.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.  Just throwing the idea out there since we are on the topic and I saw that on CL.
