This project is insanely beautiful and it hurts me to know that motogreatness of this nature will never rest beneath my loins...
...so it gives me great pleasure to see the same cheap-o plastic oil filler cap and oil sensor "chimney" that are on my busted-ass Craiglist rescue Monster firmly lodged in the magnesium right-side case in this photo.
In that respect, the Ti beauty and I are equals. Equals, I say! Bwaa-haa-haa-haa!
///haters gotta hate. Whut?
I'm thinking (hoping!) that they would at least polish up that OP sender where it can be polished.

The bike is not done yet... we have an NCR billet Oil filler plug though as far as I know the oil sensor is staying the same. There are still a ton of things to change; several items already on the bike will be swapped out.
As some of you may have noticed we upgraded from the nickel HP calipers to the SBK calipers with titanium pistons. Forks are going to be upgraded to a set of FG forks as soon as they arrive, slipper is probably getting switched out, etc...

won't that big hose off the back slow it down on the track?

(damn that thing is looking good....off to buy totto ticket)
Thanks, Anthony...keep the updates coming. Love it!

We'll definitely be adding a speedcell... still lots of work to do, just had to grab a test battery to fire it up!

i realize this has a lot of bling and such and made of lighter materials, and it looks very good and the craftsmanship shows through so that is good.
but my question is what is the end point?
how much lighter are you predicting this bike to be than stock after doing all this? are you dropping say 20-30% of the wet weight fo the bike?
also what is the prediction of the increase in power from the engine, etc?
i'd like to hear the prediction of what the improvements will be before they actually weigh the thing and put it on a dyno to see who comes closest.

The end point is to simply build a bike that the customer likes...
We've never built a 1098R to this level so we don't know what the outcome will be with regards to weight loss and power increase. We'll know before long though.

ok my prediction is 35 lbs lighter with all the mods, and the dyno at the wheel is going to put out 5% more than stock 1098r.

Stylistically I really like it, especially the swingarm and the copper nuts. $$$$$$
