Nah-his tools would get stolen with the box, except he'd have his duc keys in it at the time.

so the floor would get stolen too?

He could start a whole junk removal service. All he'd have to do is leave anything of his somewhere, and that stuff would get stolen/demolished.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

well he didn't punch the boxes off so that's good! he actually thought it was a pretty good joke and inidcated he mighta had it coming. 10 minutes with the cutoff wheel with everyone watching and it was all good. Luckily/unluckily  the welds on the interior of the bolt holes didn't penetrate and he just knocked em off with a hammer.

ahhh good times.

Company provided........that's a horse of a different color.

One machine shop I worked in provided toolboxes. Management decided we needed new toolboxes. DH happened to gone elk hunt for two weeks when, the decision was made, and when the new toolboxes arrived. Not being ones to waste a golden opportunity. We picked the lock on Denny's old box, transfered everything to the new toolbox, stashed the new toolbox in a janitors closest, put the old toolbox on the big bandsaw, sawed it in half, put both halves back in position, propped up with a cut to fit piece of 2x4, loaded with assorted old bearings and other junk, taped the sawcut with masking tape, and painted to match.

The look on Denny's face when he stuck his key in his box and it fell in half was priceless. When he finally cooled down, we got his new box out of the closet.

that's a good one.
