So I've gotten to the point where I'm happy....for now.
New additions are Galfer Wave rotors, and my 999 complete front end, with xx9 fender.
Pics are
HERE
here are a few:
I've got the SSS and all the components sitting in the closet waiting to be thrown together, but before I do that, I want to PC the Swingarm, the rims and the rearsets....To be continued

Very Nice!!
I have a '02 S4 that I R'd as well with a SSS.
Are you replacing your shock as well when you convert it to SSS?
The Showa I had on there didn't fit on the SSS, not sure if the Ohlins is any different.

I was gonna check the clearance, but from the looks of it, there shouldnt be an issue. I have the ohlins shock with the smaller res and remote, so hopefully it clears, otherwise, im selling the ohlins and i'll buy a new shock i suppose!

It's sitting in a box next to the swingarm! I've got those, and new rearsets to throw on there.....but....the wife wants to do some 2-up riding so while its nice and cool here in AZ i'll leave the bike the way it is so she has some pegs to ride on. When it gets hot (spring/summer) i'll rip off the rear end and have my way with her.....i mean install the new stuff

Good.
It sounds like you did your homework.
I did my conversion about 3 years ago and discovered the exhaust and rear shock wouldn't work after I was done installing the swingarm.
What exhaust are you putting on there?

i've got the stock s4r exhaust for right now. we'll see how much i get for my termis and that will determine how much I can spend on a new exhaust. What exhaust did you use?
EDIT: another pic for those who don't like all this talking -

Custom 2 -1 Graves GP exhaust.
Looking to change it. It's a bit on the loud side.

How about a DDD "RoadRacing" style exhaust?
http://www.ducati-development-dortmund.de/
or MotoCreations Boomtubes?

I really like that DDD exhaust.....think there would be any issue with integrating that with a SSS?

Good question. Looks like it runs under the chain on the DSS don't know if there is the same clearance on the SSS.
Email them and ask:
ducati-dortmund@online.de
Ask them about the "2 in 2 Auspuff, TÜV bis Bj. 98 möglich". I called it the "RoadRacing" style exhaust because it looks like the exhaust that used to be produced by the now defunct "RoadRacing" parts company.

Thanks JS! I got the Motodynamics light in smoke and I love it, though that ebay price is hard to beat!

I found a few pics online that had this exhaust on a SSS, so it looks like the clearance would work out....now just to find a set within a decent price range!

Im not one to like fly screens on monsters.
At all.
but I have to say I love this one! Love how it surrounds the lense and is all smoothy
It somewhat reminds me of a frenched in headlight on a hot rod (the color black helps too)
great job!!!
