After deciding to keep the bike, found out it's got a case of tank expansion. Getting a warranty replacement tank. Rather than spending the money to repaint the tank, I'm going to purchase the stock-colored windscreen fairing and rear cowl so the bike will be back to titanium/black. I figured since it would cost roughly the same to buy the parts as repaint the tank, I'd be safer with stock colors in the event the tank expanded again.
So, I'm out over $700 for the 2 fairings, plus $200 to have the inside of the new tank coated in the hopes this won't happen again. Kinda thought it would be nice if Hattar gave me a deal on the parts since this whole mess wasn't my doing, but since they give 10% back for their store card I guess it could be worse.
Bleh...
