black.
you have a nice black on red theme going. you don't want to overdo it on the red. plus the odds of the red matching your frame are slim. the black would complement the carbon fiber clutch cover and side panels nicely IMO.

also, i wish i lived in italy, as those CNC Racing plugs are bad-make the beast with two backsin-ass.

I've had no problems with scratching the paint. It's the expanding rubber that does most of the work.

Visually, black is the way to go.

The first ones look better, but that is a 5 piece set - missing the tiny one, going in the left upper hole. That hole isn't very noticeable though, just thought I'd mention it.

The first link looks better to me, they aren't that much different than the STM plugs.

@stopintime: Not all the frame plugs use a o-ring like rubber to actually contact the frame hole that's being plugged, other designs use a circle of metal (C-shaped, or ring shaped with a cut in it to allow expansion) that presses against the paint. It varies by manufacturer. That being said, I've used both and neither have scratched the paint.

There's also Corsair Industries to look at. And DesmoWorld.de

Remember black could fade to purple, red to pink, and Gold to ... Gold.

I like Black a lot, but if it fades fast, you'll be pissed.

My black MPL plugs haven't faded, don't know about other brands

Both of the OPs Italian links show plugs with rubber.

Black. Just get a couple sets, so when they fade you can change them out.  [thumbsup]

I still haven't found an STM plug for that one.

I just saw the STM.  Looking for a full set in Gold.  Does DP make a set?

While looking for STM I think I saw MotoStrano listing a 14mm plug. If so, wouldn't that fit the 6th hole?

Corsair Industries has a cheap set, but only four plugs.

I remember Mark at MotoCreations talking about making plugs without the center allen bolt - a more flush design.

The 14mm STM one has a large head and fits the swingarm pivot.

I heard that as well.  [popcorn]

Same, but the old style, in Gold:

Note: If you look at the frame hole above the swingarm pivot where a plug is (in gold) you'll see where I used to have an STM frame plug.

Then I upgraded to Nichols Motor Mount Bolts. The Titanium nuts on the ends of the rod are long and stick out either side, so no more frame plugs fo' me.
