I've been lurking around dmf for awhile, then I noticed the local club section. So I thought I would say hi and introduce myself.

Hello, my name's Ryan. I'm in Fremont, but I'll be riding all around the bay area, well, if it isn't raining. I got my first bike a couple months ago. It's a black 696. Hope to see some of you out and about. Take it easy.

So that's how this works..............     DUCRS here from Modesto Ca. area. Maybe the only monster in the Modesto area  ( haven't seen one on the road yet). I have a black S4RS. Met up with some of the fellows at La Honda, hope to catch ya'll at one of the upcoming events. GREAT forum!

Hi, welcome!  This is a good place to introduce yourself to the local group.   There is also the Introductions section which is forum-wide.

Hey your not alone in Modesto anymore  . I was beginning to think I was the only one . I have yet to see another Monster on the road in Modesto.  PM me an maybe we can hook up for some cool local rides as well as maybe hit up some of the area Monster functions an stuff.

I was born and raised nearby (Stockton), but escaped after college.  Happy holidays!

Finally back and ready to ride.  Looking forward to some dry pavement 'cause I'm jones'n for a ride.

Hope everyone is well and we haven't lost any riders.  Is the crash ticker still tickin'?

Added a new ride to the stable...an '08 Triumph Tiger 1050.  Only have a couple hundred miles on it but expect it to be a great commuter.  Costs (maint & fuel) should be a bit less too.

Appears I've got some catching up to do.

I just realized that the MOB is like an entirely new entity within DMF... So, I'll introduce myself.

You'll find me puttting around Berkeley either on my newly acquired white M696, or on my beloved gray Honda HawkGT. The Hawk is the bike I've racked up most of my miles since starting, roughly 2 years ago. I joined the group because I'd be up for joining any MOB rides and hoping to meet others who do trackdays or would like to start. That's one of the reasons I bought my Monster- to learn how to ride road courses and hopefully be good at it. The other being that I want reliable(enuff) bike to ride long distance up to Canada with.

ps, if any of you live not too far away from berkeley and want to hit the curves with another Monster rider, let me know! I'd be up for it. I range from speed limit to "just above".
