I've become an old man on an old man's bike

WWW

First footage of the new track weapon out on it's debut.
Heading out of the garage as you see it there was 2k's on the clock and Vince hadn't even started it.

Came back in with 32k's on it which is more likely equal to 300k road riding, although he was taking it pretty easy
finding his way round in the yellow group and a guy on his Street Fighter who was trying to use every line the track
had to offer.

I have more footage I'll mix it during the week, sorry about the focus first time of shot video on the 5D MkII

Thanks for the pics and Vids ,Had a great day run it in.

I can see from the pics Craig has taken I wasn't very comfy on it ,In any case I was only 2 seconds away from my PB, it will take a few days to work out how to ride her hard and get my body position right  Evil

I did have some dramas half way in the day when it dumped its sump .I had Just started it up for the next session  when.....WTF …….it started blowing smoke. so I ran over and kill the engine Shocked moments later a stream of oil from the belly pan WTF x 10 .

Turns out, and this is a lesson for all of us. The Gringo in the Ducati factory  Angry didn't lube the oil filter O ring before installing it and it split  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

Vaffunculo testa di merda mi hai rotto I coglioni

It dumped 2.5 ltr of oil into the belly pan and all over the exhaust. what could have happened if I'd gone out on the track  Shocked

So the bike was great being 30kg’s lighter than the outgoing yam I found it much easier when turning in.

The traction control was making it hard to ride at first, as I turned it down level by level it became easier to deal with.I  only managed down to lev 2 but it was still interfering with the power ,Il try lev one next week.

It just wouldn’t pull out of the turns, feels like you have hit the rev limiter mid turn staying that way until you straighten up which made you un settled due to the lack of power ,It sort of made you tip in to the turn even further forcing  a steering or body positing adjustment mid turn, not the ideal scenario .It’s something to get used to .

Another problem was the air intake tubes , as a consequence of  removing the head light assembly , the rubber air intake tubes which run through the assembly are un supported,  causing them to squeeze shut under extreme acceleration starving the engine of air .This will be fixed when my track glass arrives in Jan 10 .

I’m going to change some things for the next track day on the 19th, so let’s see what happens .

Or not maybe they are feeling broken after swapping from the Yam and the Duc.
I don't hear the big  Grin as yet but I'm it will be there soon enough.

Split it in three for the literal translations

Vaffunculo
testa di merda
mi hai rotto I coglioni

but it needs to be said standing up, with gusto, volume and tonal expression, and quickly as possible as one sentence. Well that's the way all my relatives do!
