i think its awesome that a bike with that much power is that cheap, it means that bikes should be getting cheaper across the board.

In spite of all that power, the bike didn't do all that well in world superbike. Admittedly, it was new and may have had some bugs but so was the new Aprilia that kicked it's ass. It takes more than great dyno numbers to be the fastest and win.

I would have to agree. It's an '05 but it really doesn't matter what year it is, they are the nicest combination of 600/supersport weight and flickability and some big bike punch. That's why Suzook keeps cranking them out after everyone else gave up on 750s. They are loyal to the bike that helped put them on the performance bike map. Haven't ridden a 848 yet but I have heard that they are the Duc version of that combo.

Yeah, I've got big block bikes but I'm an slow old fart and I still don't know what to do with 185.5 hp on the street. I used to say "too much is just enough" regarding hp but now I am like others on this thread: how the bike makes power is much more important than peak hp numbers. Is it usable? Is it peaky? etc...
