hello,

i've been searching around and i don't see a lot of topics regarding triple tree and clip-on options for an S4. i saw the cyclecat trees but i haven't seen much else.

i'm a nooB so i'm not sure what size forks i have and what to look for. i have an '02 S4 Foggy with showa forks.
i'm looking for a combo where i don't have to raise the fork height and be able to use the stock grips and controls, etc.

please post a pic of your combo on your S4 and where you purchased them and prices would help a whole lot too.... Grin

thanks

You can use quite a variety of clip-ons, they just need to be 50mm diameter.
They'll have to go below the triple, though.
Your stock triple will foul most (if not all) clip-ons.

Here's some SpeedyMoto stuff:

Here's some Rizoma clipons, they fit on risers pretty much like the CycleCat stuff:

You could go with Woodcraft.

Sorry, no really good pics.   But there is this:  http://www.ducati.ms/forums/showthread.php?t=2594&page=24

Third one down from the top.

Somehow I am unable to load pics.

Odd.

i think the cyclecat DBR adapters are meant to mimic the S4 triple setup.  If you can find those then any 50mm clipons should fit above the tree.

i can't verify this though, since the CC site is down

I think the S4 shares the same triple as the S2R1000.  You can get a number of clip-ons to fit.  This picture is of a Vortex clip-on.  It has no rise to it and is a very agressive riding position.  I have installed a Cycle Cat DBR-13 on it now and it has about a 1.5" rise.

Notice this picture shows lowered gauges...

'01 and '02 S4 have the same triple and bars, I *think* they're the same as ST4 and ST4s.

S4R, S4Rt, and S4Rs have a 'conventional' triple, for tubular handlebars.

The CycleCat risers are indeed 50mm, so there's a bunch of clip-on options.

CycleCat is gone, but you can still buy the risers from oncycles.com:
http://www.oncycles.com/browse.asp?department=clearance&category=billetaccessories&subcategory=barriseradapters

Get 'em while you can, the price is a steal.
AFAIK, they're never going to make any more.

Here's a pic of my S4 with the CCat bars and adapters:

hey spinned, thanks for posting the pic. that looks a bit aggressive for me though. the CCat multi adjustable looks like it might work for me.

hey speeddog,

thanks for the pic. i might want to keep my triple as you did, especially since i have the DP steering damper which covers up much of the triple anyway. have you seen the CCat multi-adjustable bars? are these what you have? looks like part #'s :
DBR23- Above Triple Clamp (w/S25+ DRA-1)= $395
DBR33- Above Triple Clamp (w/S15+ DRA-1)= $395
DRA1- Above Clamp Adapter Only= $155

i saw it on this website:

hydra,

Yes, I've got those CCat multi-adjustable bars.
I don't remember which ones I've got as far as the model#, but they're the shorter ones.

Yes, call me whenever you want.  Smiley

Oncycles.com doesn't show any of the bars, I think your only chance is finding some used ones.

Hydra, I got a Cycle cat top triple, risers, and bars that I'm selling.  They all are in titanium finish.  I *think* the bar system is the dbr33, I'll have to check on that.

The CycleCat adapters ARE a steal @ $155 from Oncycles, but they don't specify if that's for the pair, or is they're sold individually...

-I would assume they're sold by the pair....Think I'm gonna pick some up while I still can!!  waytogo
