`06 Triumph 675, `07 GSX-R 600 (wife's)

Hello everyone... My name is Jean-Andree' Roberts, I know a few of you and have seen some of you out and about or on group rides... I ride a Pearl White Triumph Daytona 675 that always seems to go through some type of changes, some current pics of the last set of mods, if interested, can be seen at this link http://www.triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19160...

I am an avid enthusiast of motorcycles as well as custom cars and pretty much almost anything with 2 wheels I like, regardless of brand, model, make... Even some cruisers...

I am a "gear nazi" but don't force wearing gear down people's throats...

I commute on my bike, but stay away from rain, because of the aftermarket electronics I have installed on it...

Some of you have met my wife, Alexis, she has been on some group rides and has been to a few different local events... She has a All black `07 GSX-R 600 with all decals removed, she chose it due to the seat height and ergonomics, it has Pazzo levers, Vortex rearsets & M4 exhaust... Now with more experience under her belt, her dream bike is a Triumph Speed Triple (not the Street, but the Speed)...

My wife has been ill for awhile so we haven't been around much... We rode up to the Pavillions Memorial day weekend, but then she took a turn for the worse again, so she's off 2 wheels yet again... That weekend was the first time she rode in 5 months...

I hope to see you guys & gals out and about when things are hopefully back to normal...

See you guys later... chug

Oh, and where's Dave?

Sorry I'm late, teach!

It has been 2 days since my last post.

I'm David Cline - Central Phx.  Started riding because I was enthralled with Ducati.  Been riding about 3 years.  First bike was an '01 M750 Metallic.  Don't have it anymore which is OK, I'm really okay with it - really, I am - I'm ok, it's fine.  Currently ride a black '06 749s and an Anniversary Edition '08 XL1200L.  If you don't know what that is -- good, don't look it up.

Thanks Maureen for the PM that let me know where everyone had moved to!
I am Doug George (DG).  I have been involved with local Duc Clubs from day one but recently have been seen very little. Sorry!
I ride a 95 M900 or my 98 FE.  Yes, the 73 Guzzi is still unfinished!  Been on 2 wheels since 1971 and have the battle damage
to prove it!  Looking forward to another good ride like we had on the "Devils Run".  It goes down as one of our best!

Gee, not sure why I didn't see this thread before when I introduced myself.

Anyway, here goes again...

I'm Norris.  Just came to Phoenix from NE Texas ('bout halfway between Dallas and the LA state border) about three weeks ago to attend the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.  My bikes are an 05 FXDX Superglide Sport and an 07 S4RS.  Living in the North part of town near the campus.  Really excited about finally and formally doing the motorcycle training thingie.

Really love the West; lived in California for many years.  Will be here for at least another 14 months and looking forward to meeting some of you local Ducatisti!

Best,
Norris

Well I have been going on DMF for a while now getting info and checking out pics of all the other Monsters out there but never got around to actually joining now that I have I just wanted to make a more personal introduction to you all after doing the intro for the whole DMF.

I live in the East Valley and have been riding for about a year now after taking the rider safety course at T.E.A.M. Arizona in Gilbert which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to start riding.

I was very lucky to find a 2001 Monster 750 with a custom paint job that was in my price range as my first bike and I absolutely love it!!!
All of the best performance mods were already done on it when I got it so I could just jump on it and go.
It has a custom paint job that is very well done. I have been told that it was a custom job done in Italy but if anyone has any other info on it please let me know.

It used to be that my dad was the only one in the family that had a bike (Triumph Sprint ST) but over the last year I got my Monster, I bought my wife a naked SV 650 (which we recently sold because God decided we needed another kid), and my MOM and my brother both have Ninjas. Now I know my dad and I have the best taste of the group but how many guys can say that their mom rides a Ninja. I think it's awesome!!!

Here are some pics.

Cheers  drink

Here's  a little of the history

The first owner was a guy named Aaron, here he is with it an some Hooter's girls out CycleFest at Firebird in 2003

He traded it in at Phoenix International Motorsports (now Ducati/Triumph Superstore) edit: oopsie, sorry - got that part wrong, see DucducDaves reply where it was bought by the aforementioned DucDucDave (who is now simply a DucDave)   was sighted touring it around Mexico one day in November 2006  Cool

who then traded/sold? it to buy himself a  .....  well we'll let him fill in the rest of that story .....  Grin

Hello,

I am new to riding motorcycles on the street and so far I am having a blast.  I rode dirt bikes several years back, but no street experience. I am a retired race car driver and amateur fabricator and welder so those are my odd skills....Bought my Monster 696 back in June of 08 and love it! I have wanted a Monster for a couple of years, but had to convince the wife that I would not kill myself....(this took years by the way)

As of right now,  I have 1800 mi. on my bike and I have had no problems with the bike.  I put the DP touring seat on my bike and I did the DP tail chop. I will tell you, if you have a 696; the DP touring seat is worth every penny! I am going to be coring the stock 696 exhaust cans this week so hopefully I can bring something to the table and help some folks on here.

Regards,
Ryan

Welcome, AZMonsterMan and Ryan!

First, a slight correction to SheMonster's account of things:  Aaron didn't trade her in at Phx International; Shawn at PI put Aaron in contact with me, because I kept coming in asking when they would be getting more Monsters... He knew they would not be getting any more anytime soon and also knew that Aaron wanted to sell his.  No big deal.

Anyway, it's a great bike!  Enjoy!  I do still have several stock parts I took off, if you want them, including the front fender which is painted to match the tank, etc.  I also have a couple of different front farings (windscreen can be nice on long trips).  They're yours for the picking up -- just PM me.  And if you ever decide to sell 'er, AZMM, please call me first!

I just got the memo about the site. Thank you Maureen for telling me about it last night at the Superstore. I hope to see you all out on the road.
