Hello!

I think you guys have convinced me to go for the Termis.  I am thinking of going with the stainless steel, as I have read the carbon fibre model doesn't hold up well.  Is there any reason to pick one Termi over the other?  I am most interested in the performance upgrade the exhaust will add.

Are there any new rearset options out there?  Any idea when the Speedymoto version will be available?

Thanks in advance for your help!

depending on where you are licensed and inspected, the SS and CF aren't road legal, only the Ti are.
things to consider: weight, heat, sound, durability and looks

for rearsets, there are more now including a more unique setup by Style and Performance with the passenger sets hanging off the subframe.

Bikes aren't inspected here, so my only issue will be noise levels, which are enforced here.

I will check out those rearsets.

How is your 696 coming Raux?

goes on the stand for the work next month. most likely not doing the 803 stroked motor but could end up with a dry clutch. still shooting for 95hp at the crank.
plans are in the works for tubular subframe and swingarm.

The reason people go with the termi setup over any other exhaust, is because the termi setup includes the new ECU. The ECU alone costs just as much as entire exhaust systems and is the reason the termi system is so bought over anything else.

Dont want to hijack the thread but... What all is going to be involved for the 803 stroked motor? The swingarm? This is gonna be awesome to see

the stock 696 stroke is 57.2mm the 803 or old 800 Monster was 66mm the same as the new 796 HM. so to make a 696 an 803 you just need a 800 crank and assorted bits. i was going to try a few different things that most. i originally was going to use the 800 pistons as well, but after calculations decided that raising the cylinders by 4.4mm was the better route so the squish and piston/valve clearance stayed the same. the old 800 used smaller valves than the 696 so the 800 pistons probably would have needed to be cut to accomodate the new valves. plus longer 900cc belts are needed for the extra 8.8mm length.

DuckStew and a few others helped all this come to fruition. but the shop i'm working with thinks getting the extra tq isn't worth the effort of breaking open the cases. he feels we can get the same hp with a little less torque and save the extra work and money for a dry clutch with magnesium cover instead!

i have a thread in tech about all this.

for the swingarm, DSS tubular. but first the subframe.

How much $$ do you expect this to cost and how long to get it done?

i only have a few things more to purchase including the triples, rearsets and front axle. everything else is ready.

depending on the clutch situation i may end up selling the magnesium alt cover i have instead of trying to find a matching one for the clutch side.

money... total... let's not go there.

time... it's going to go to WDW in June is the plan.

Sorry, should have been more specific... How much time/money is the engine work gonna take? This seems like it would be a fun project to do over the winter time for next year

rebuild parts are about 400 including belts.  add the crank and custom spacer (or 800 pistons)... that's about the cost of doing the 803 if you do your own labor.

exhaust, head work, engine management, possible airbox and intake work. it's a high side shot, figure i have to hit 94% VE to get there.
