There, there Spider, sounds like someone's been poking your hole with a stick.

he didn't use the emoticons, I take that it's serious without a  Cheesy or a  cheeky or even a  Evil

anyway, you can piss off and 'paint' your catalytic converter! you....ah....old, um...poker....you  Kiss

I am still looking and still after help if thats ok.

I spoke to Team Moto, the price was exclusive for rego, even though i thought any motor vechile advertised had to include a complete price inclusive of rego.

Anyway they say since it has a guard over the wheel that the tail chop is legal..... and have no service history

Body work is gone, they are saying that it looks like neither the seat or top fairing have ever been installed and looking at $700 for freight to Tassie which may be reasonable for the freight but makes this too expensive for a 2000 model (compliance plate 08 2000).

Otherwise on trading post today we have http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/Motorbikes/Road-Bikes/AdNumber=D636000212297?BackToResult=true&AdOnTop=

which is a nice looking 1000 just in my price range, which I am currently waiting for some more images and details such as service history.

As per the picture some nice extras included, if this is a 1000s ie again is it meant to have seat cover and top fairing?

Comments on the 1000, complete with stamp duty, 6 months Vic rego and freight would make this $11,000 before negotiations.

Hi lowraW

I am your man on this as i own a  2003 sie1000. waytogo
or possibly Spider as he owned one, his loss Cry

That one there is not the S model can tell buy the picture non adjusable front shocks.

Looking at my brochure the S version should have a colour matched fairing and rear seat cover carbon fibre exhaust guards (stock exhaust)and side panels fully adjusable front showa forks ,light weight aluminium swing arm.

But that not being an S model is to me  still not a bad price.
If  it has a good service history  and books .
Make an offer at least 1k less

And very important the RED KEY This model will have a red key.
Don't Buy  a Ducati  with a factory  immobiliser  without a red key

BECAUSE IF YOU LOSE  YOUR  BLACK KEYS YOUR LIFE IS OVER

To me the Dual spark(4 spark plugs) 2 valve engine released 2003 is the pick of the Heap if you want air cooled classic look, and simple to work on, well simple as can be for a Duc.
Also check if it has the open air box an preformance ecu to match the pipes.

RobS's got it, it's a lovely engine, very emotive and a great mixture between city manners and terrifyingly fast when required (on private roads, airfields etc).

Like all ducati's it will require your personality to ensure a bond is formed...and bling, they all love bling!

and the k's are good....mean's someone has been putting some miles on it and that's a lot better prospect than sitting in a garage for 5 years!!!

Well i received more information on the 1000 today, full service history is provided as well as owners books and rear seat cover.

I made an offer for $9500 including freight to Tassie (which was $350 extra) which was promptly rejected. I will wait to see if they call back.

I asked the question the if the 1000 was an S model with no clear reply, could this be a Senna model? was this ever sold in Australia? or is the grey a standard colour or a repainted dark?

I have also now received 10 phone calls from Moto... about the 900 and asked me if I was happy to go ahead with my offer on the bike (which I never made).

Can't get the Ducati  03 1000 monster page up any more. Undecided

But my sales brochure list the the Dark in silver grey and matte black
no fluro red wheels.

The 1000 sie, Metalic grey and red fluro wheels specific to this model only and the 03 s4.

The give away it is not an S is the the non adjustable front forks.

Same engine and brakes. waytogo

If the the bike shop is not a Ducati dealer they would not know what model it was.
And from my recent experience from a Ducati Dealer they will tell you any lies to sell it. Shocked Angry

Haven't seen a senna model?

You are keen buying a bike unseen. can't be that expensive to go to Melbourne for a day trip.

don't for get the red key.

Comes with red key so all good.

Yes I am stupid bike unseen but maybe I will have better luck unseen, the last car I brought which was a one owner Honda I had our mechanic check and I looked over it, did my research etc, 2 weeks latter I ended up having to have the fuel tank replaced, new fuel pump and injectors cleaned etc due to internal rust, a grand down the drain, good new was it didn't enter then engine....

But I have made money on the last two bikes I have sold so I seam to have some luck.

I know they did a Senna for the 916 back in 1995  and looks like their was a release in the states (they even had a matrix reloaded version of the monster, hope it was nothing like the movie) but still waiting for Spider to get bored and do a full Aussie monster list Smiley

...colours are right for factory paint job...but I can't find if it was a S or plain or both paint job. Only one shown must be an s as it has matching cowl and rear fairing.

in 2004 it was an s only paint job
in 2005 it was a normal and s model paint job

don't have the 2003 catalog!!!!! I've let you down
