Well, if his spelling is any indication...perhaps he meant to type "catastrophic" damage?

Personally I don't give two poops about his cosmetic damage--what I would pay money for is to know how it got there.   laughingdp

How do you do that the back rim but still have what looks like a perfectly good front rim.

You hit a curb doing a wheelie at high speed?

A lowside where the rear wheel hits a post or a curb or a tree or sumptin.

...or gets hit by a Buell.

Oh no.  No windscreen + impossibly shattered rear wheel can only mean it went down the road, end over end until the rear wheel whipped into something squarely and stopped.   laughingdp

You don't get a wheel looking like that rolling over a curb. Is it just me or does the front shocks look completely flat?

I'm with 'Bell on this one. I'd pay money to see that on video.

The other picture tells more of the story, all left side bodywork is gone.

Location is Sunland, not far from Angeles Crest.

I'm bettin' pretty much what Spidey said; lowside, guardrail post boinks rear rim, bike spins, next post wipes out front/upper fairing.

Ah I see.
Do you think I could shoe horn that motor into a 97 SS frame.

He cased it over a jump?

It looks like the same thing that happened to that log truck on the north end of Hwy 1. Bent rim and bent tow bar. I wish I had pictures.
