G'day Everyone,

how is everyone after there new year celebrations?

As you all very well know riding the monsters are a very very addictive thing to do... (some say more then smoking)

I'm getting board of the roads i ride on...

I know the Putty Really well
I really like the RNP...
Loved the Oxley
Wisemans is a great trip (love to stop for lunch at the pub)
Only been on the Old Pac once
Kangaroo Valley gets boaring when your there twice a year in the tin top

The question is, Where do you go?

What tickles your fancy? Why do you like it?

~Marty

**P.S Please note im not some sort of road warrior attempting to set land speed records... just looking for a spirited ride**

Record 5 straight losses is no reason to celebrate

My road choices are almost as boring as my personality.

Default is the Old Road. Why? Because I am lazy and struggle to find the time to go elsewhere ... it is a nice little ride though.

I agree the Pub at Wisemans is good. Like Betty said, Old Road is always good and easy when I feel lazy.

However, after getting a bit stir crazy with the bad weather, I embarked on a mission. I took the dirt bike out yesterday in the rain with all my dirt gear on and got completely soaked. I had a great time negotiating a few over-bouts at speed (wheeeee) and made my way out to my mum's place and slashed up a few of her paddocks (the dirt bike is much better off road than the Monster). The fun was cut short when my son had an epic crash on his dirt bike and it was time to retreat home. Cry

Hang on, what was I talking about.... Huh? Sorry, back on track again...

Other places you could try: Spencer, Patonga, Wollombi, Berowra Waters, Coal and Candle Creek Rd to Palm Beach etc.
Cheers, Kaz.

Gillies range at 5 am in the morning, no traffic, lots of low speed and high speed Corners, (All below the Speed limit, Your Honor) A blast!  [moto]

Cruise across the Atherton Tablelands and then blast down the Palmerston highway to Innisfail, Breakfast at Maccas, and then shoot back up to Cairns
on the Highway spending more time on the wrong side of the road ripping around all the retards who want to spend life 20k's below the posted speed limit.

My current favourite new road is Bylong Valley Way which has been recently enough resurfaced that the crashing crowd haven't found it yet so the cops don't know about it either  Evil

Some other roads worth investigating if you haven't yet:

The roads north of The Old Road - out to Peats Ridge and on up through Kulnura, Kulnura down to Yarramalong, Kulnurra out to Wollombi, Wollombi to Broke (and on back down The Putty).

Jamberoo Mountain Road and Saddleback - turn left just before the pie shop at the top of Macquarie Pass, it's narrower and bumpier than Mac Pass and not as well signposted, but also has _much_ less traffic.

Turpentine Road from Nowra to Braidwood - they're in the middle of upgrading it so it's now only got maybe 40km of dirt in the middle with 30 or 40km of freshly laid tar each end, the dirt keeps most of the traffic off so the tar bits are _great_ fun!

Thunderbolts Way from Gloucester to Walcha (and on to Uralla if you're planning a _long_ day), then The Oxley Highway to either Port Macquarie to the east or Tamworth to the west.

Further north both the Gwyder and Brunxner highways cross the Great Dividing Range from Armidale to Coffs and Tenterfield to Lismore in the usual fun mountain road fashion, with Waterfall Way, Tweed Valley Way, Armidale Rd, Orara Way, and Summerland Way providing connecting roads to them without needing to run too much on the Pacific or New England Highways.

Down south, there's not a single road through the Snowy Mountains that I wouldn't ride again, and the roads from the coast up to the tablelands are al fun - Kings Highway out of Batemans Bay, Snowy Mountain Highway out of Bega (also known as Brown Mountain), Mt Darragah Rd out of Pambula and the road out of Eden that joins that one halfway up.

How much further afoot do you want to go? The Monaro Highway, The Bonang, Cann River Rd, The Great Alpine Way, King River, Reefton Spur, The Black Spur, The Great Ocean Rd...
