Yeaaaa Betty this is about my 10th part I think...... I have indeed "done some living" over the years. Started at 19 and hasn't stopped.

But I must admitt that I am looking forward to a some what "warmer" adventure this time.......  Cool

Shorts, tee shirt and thongs over full thermals with 6 layers, crampons and -40C blizzards......  Grin

Man that's a gutsy thing to do..

Though I've belted you and flayed you,
By the living God that made you,
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

I'd be shit scared to make that move...

It is exciting and scary all at the same time. But for those of you who know me, you know I love a challenge......  Grin  Evil  Wink

Good on yer.
Sure it's a "challenge" but you're a long time dead as they say.
Anyhow what's the worst that can happen? You have to comeback to Oz?
I've spent a fair bit of time in foreign parts ( and no, you dirty buggers, that's not because my wife is french!) some friendly, some not, but those experiences are gold. Certainly "what if?" and "if only" aint gonna be in my vocabulary by the time I kick the bucket.
