hey I just bought an 02 s4 monster 1000 with arrow pipes, and I am having problems starting it, it doesnt appear to be electrical, we noticed some water in the fuel due to no use, so all of the fuel has been drained and additive has been added to minimise it, it then starts I go for a ride and then a few minutes later it wont start. The injectors are being replaced, but when I looked at them the seem to be working and priming correctly at start up. Im a bit stumped on this one. Any thoughts or similar experiences

So, it will start and run fine for some time, then after you shut it off it won't restart?

Or does it die while you're riding?

it worked when the mechanic would ride it as I took it back to the shop, but then when the salesman went to start it wouldnt go...... Now for the embarrassing bit, it turns out that the spare key isnt coded and it was just turning over and he was using the spare key. Pretty funny in hindsight particuarly given as though I worked in the industry and runnig a bike shop for 7 years and racing professionally too, you think I would know better, all better now though. Now I have to go and get the spare key replaced

You can code that spare key if you have the red key, no need to replace it.

Knowing my luck I am sure they will have misplaced it, the service and product knowledge at this store is really below average unfortunately.
