Thanks for the info - and the heads up that South Seas is a good dealer to work with; i was planning to go to them for a Hypermotard, but I'm not sure if i want to drop the funds on a new bike or go with a well kept used one; though the technological advancements make a new one worth it imho (but i'm sure i have much more learning to do)...
that 999 sounds real nice - if it were me, i'd shoot to keep it together with all the extra parts; though i know as a seller you can get more for your money by parting out too.
I'll keep my eyes open to see what goes on, maybe i'll see you guys at South Seas on sunday (even if i show up in my car haha)
-Tesh (<--that's actually my name, not just a SN btw)
Re: the dealer
The service guy has a regular thread here (Will's thread), they helped me out when I had a hard starting problem. All my communication was through Ivan, but I later found out that the actual work was probably done by Will. The bike runs most excellently now and has been going strong ever since.
On lots of forums you often see peeps bashing dealers, but South Seas has treated me well whenever I needed help.
Selling it sometime within the next 2 weeks.
An old friend of mine JUST found out I gonna sell it, so he got dibs on it for now, pending funds. If it's a no-go, I'll start a new thread to update. Here is the unfinished page I was making for it:
