Suspension work in progress

I started taking the suspension apart to replace the springs all around and lighter fork oil.  Got all of the major components off this evening.  I bought a set of tapered steering head beatings, but I dont think I need to replace them just yet.  A bit nervous about pulling the guts out of the forks, but if anything goes wrong, I always have you guys to turn to!!

Rear spring and shock installed.  Spring is Hypercoil.  I used Race Tech spacer adapters...I cut a slot in them with a band saw and they snap into place on their respective collars (forgot to take pictures!!).  While I had the shock apart, I took the opportunity to clean up the teeth on the adjuster and lock collars...they wer looking pretty gnarly. 
I also managed to loose an allen socket in the swing arm!  
I had been warned, but had forgotten...I was able to fish it out, but for the final torqueing, I applied a strip of duct tape to ensure the socket stayed on the extension.

Regards the stand:  Sorry, no template Corey, but it's pretty simple.  A pair of 36" long 2x4 for the uprights,  18x12x5/8 MDF for the cross piece, and same for side plates with the corners cut off.  Assembled with #14 x 1 1/2 pan head screws.  One leg has to be removed before placing it around the bike.  The support bar is 1/2 pipe...depending on the bike and the exact spot you place it, the pipe should be around 33" off the ground.

that is rather an over kill frame support. You already had what you needed under the rest of the bike.............
To make life easy............ axle stands on both sides of the bike, slide your bar across the top of the stands between the front exhaust pipe and the cyclinder head. Works fine, bike will not move, its totally safe. I have been doing it that way for years.I have replaced the rear shock on my bike as well as the forks and triples.........so I know that method works fine.
