its never too late to be who you might have been

« on: January 11, 2010, 09:35:05 AM »

Saturday night my car broke down, I thought is was a fuel problem.
Got a ride back to Vancouver from Portland at 10.30 at night from a friend.
Next day he graciously picked me up and took me back to the dead car ........we thought we should change the fuel filter. We did.
Car still did not start.
Fuel pump not whirring when ignition key turned on.
Hello AAA!
Got the car back home.
Took the skid plate off and dropped the fuel tank, pulled out the pump, got on my bike (first time I had ridden since October) and went to NAPA. Bought a pump, got home threw it in, put everything back together(fuel tanks are heavy and this had hardly any gas, maybe about 10 gallons in it) and got it working.
I own a 1997 Suburban, did it all myself. Phew!
Now.........if only finding a job or a boyfriend were this easy........... laughingdp
Best thing about this whole episode was riding my bike and not breaking a nail! Wahooooooooooo!! waytogo

Me thinks you should get a job as a comedy writer.  Or mechanic.  Or comedic mechanic (because none of them are funny, right?!).
Nice work indeed!!
