I headed to Greenville, SC on Saturday and met up with my buddy Rob to check out the 2010 Cycle World Powersports Expo.  It was the half way point between our houses (2 hours for each of us).  Thought I'd share some pics with the board.

Warming up the truck to leave:

Here I am trying out the Ducati Streetfighter

Monster 1100 (I want this bad.....I had an '01 M900Sie, but damn is this thing HOT!!!  IMO)

Rob trying out the Aprilia

Other assorted pics:

Enjoy!

This was the best looking bike at the whole show. This pic is just from the wrong side.

The Desmosedici on display made absolutely no attempt at muffling that $76,000 exhaust note.  Two out the  back and two out the side.  waytogo

The Aprillia v4 was there too.  I noticed people listening when I said to my 16 yo daugter that, yes these bikes were much like the v4 Ducati we had just seen, but this one was made for normal people to buy 16 - 22$K.

Daughter has Ducati in the blood though.  She's got her eye on a 1100 Moster.

Nice picks B!  You would rip on the 1100S....incredible bike!  I rode one around side streets for a little bit and she is QUICK!

Cool seeing the race bikes up there.....I gotta say the 1198 Special is much better looking in your pics than the press releases I've seen.  Is the tank polished aluminum or painted?

Looks chilly up there...I am planning a trip down to Daytona Bike Week March 3rd-7th if your interested.

Will,

I believe it was polished aluminum with clear coat over it.....but I'm not 100%.  I couldn't take my eyes off that damn 1100 laughingdp

I'm planning a trip to the Dragon and surrounding area on the first weekend of May, I'll have to check my schedule to see if I'm off the weekend bike week is on.....I'd love to go but I'm not sure if that is possible with the new job.  We'll see.  Call me up sometime and we'll catch up.

Thanks for the pics!

I test rode a Monster 1100 this past summer.  I gotta be honest, I wasn't all that impressed.  Anyone else agree?  I just felt detached from the bike - thats the best I can explain it.

That BMW is neat looking, though I am not a huge fan of the cylinders pointing out (like most BMW's do)

again, thanks for the cool pics   waytogo

You guys are welcome!  I had a blast even though it was a smaller show then the Indy Expo I went to a few years ago.  I always love the Ducati section, hottest bikes and of course no slacking in the presentation either waytogo
