I'm moving to Ocean City Maryland and will really miss my home track, Miller, here in Salt Lake City.  Anyone know of any tracks around?  Looking online I just find a lot of drag strips and dirt oval tracks for cars.

Thanks,
Robb

Beaver Run is close to Pittsburgh in PA. VIR is in Alton VA down near the NC line. Summit Point is just outside Charles Town West Virginia ( also known here in the DC area as West By God-Summit Point, which like most tracks, will seem like a shithole in comparo to Miller, but Summit is even moreso). New Jersey Motorsports Park off of Exit 4 of the New Jersey Turnpike isn't too far away. There will be nothing really local, but if you have a mini-motard, you can make friends with Go-Kart track people and run a minitard on some of the many GoKart circuits in OC.

I guess there's no place to go but down when Miller is your home track!

Thanks Zoom for all the info.  I may have to bribe the kids at the go kart tracks with funnel cakes to let me take a few laps...

you may rethink that a lil bit after turning a track day at VIR or perhaps even Barber down outside Birmingham Alabama ( and yes, it is worth the drive!!!).

but yes...take your DR-Z125/CRF100-150/TT-R125 with trailwing tires on it and go tear it up at the go-cart track...

I started searching around for the mini motard stuff and it looks like a lot of fun.  And relatively inexpensive compared to other things....

RUT ROH RORGE!...I think you may have found a new addiction!!!

this was me on a buddy of mine's TT-R 125 that had seevral BBR motor upgrades in it being chased down by another buddy on a race fuel fed, punched out to 160cc motored TT-R 125 when we were doing some parking lot racing last winter(not really racing, but we were having a helluva lotta fun)...and there is a 3rd bone stock TT-R125 in the backround...

Barber is awesome!  A much different style of track than Miller, but tons of fun.  Only problem is that it seems to rain a lot down there.

Most of the Philadelphia-Harrisburg crowd hangs out at www.devalmostro.net

Several really good riders with WERA, etc. credentials should be able to steer you in the right direction wrt tracks within a day's ride of OC Md.

PM sodark on that board...

Thanks OT.  I'll look him up when I get settled.  I really want to avoid having to ride with the guys I know out there.  They all start at a bar at 10 am on Saturday, drink for 2 hours until riding their Road Kings to another bar, drink for 2 more hours, and repeat until the end of the day on Sunday, all while wearing turtle shells on their heads!

We only have one (or two) guys on Warriors, but they ride those quicker than most people ride sportbikes.

We're trying to do monthly rides this year....and I'm sure one will be into Maryland on the Eastern Shore, which you can reach without much trouble.
