I bought my S2R1k last summer for 8,000 with 1k miles, not a killer deal but better than this one.  You need a dry clutch anyway.

edit: bike had a full arrow carbon system but otherwise stock

+??

Overpriced. I paid $8,500 for my S2R1K with 6K miles 15 months ago. Bike was owned by a dealership owner and was in nearly perfect condition with a new mid-pipe and Ohlins rear shock upgrade.

Keep looking and seriously consider a used S2R1K as it would be a much bigger upgrade than the 800.

just as reference I picked up a spotless and dealer maintained 07 S2R1K (9K miles) with full arrow titanium exhaust for $7K about 6 months ago.

i agree with the others that you can get a much nicer bike for the money.
