Do you like to work in metal, wood, ceramics, paint or some medium that would blow my little mind? If you've made something that makes you smile, I'd really like to see it! This is a place to put pictures & descriptions of your handiwork that doesn't necessarily ride on two wheels.

I don't have digital versions of a lot of my old blacksmithing or knifemaking work, but here's my offering to kick this off. A heron feather in steel:

and the thing i nearly finished yesterday that got me thinking about starting this thread; a 2' x 4' welding table with steel plate on one side & slate on the other.

Forged from 1080 and differentially heat treated.  I get them to this point and then loose interest in finishing out handles.

Beer Can Rockets - more fun, less frustrating than pounding steel into shapes it doesn't want to be in - plus the beer and the green recycling angle - COOL!

I tried setting an emerald into a stock setting once - what a mess.  Anyone that can work with that kind of precision and scale has my respect.

I said not necessarily -- and the stuff you make usually deserves a thread all to itself!   waytogo

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Wood

This is one of the last projects I built before going back to school (it was for a DMF member)

This was a proto-type I built in school for a computer desk
