New parts! Most of the stuff from Indy Ducati is here... but for some reason the throttle cable didn't come in (part of the throttle assembly according to the part manual).
Anyways, pics of them not installed as it is late.
Front brake line:
Clutch Line
Throttle and switches... just stock parts, but they are new and shiney!

Got a lot done today.
First off, painting! Sorry no pictures of the body filler / sanding on the tank... but here is the second coat of primer (still wet):
Will sand this down tomorrow, decide if I need to some more body filler work, and either do a second round of primer or some body filler.
But, since primer is boring... lets move on to the front end of the bike.
Look at that open space there above the triple and below the gauges... I think this would be a GREAT place for a GPS...
Lines were made for a stock s2r. Looks like the down legs of the lines are a couple inches long which translates into a couple inches drop on the bars.
Clutch line!
And finally, rider's view.

One last thing, this is what I'm thinking for the side of the tank.
Thoughts?

That's a new thought
Personally, I don't like it as the main visual focus point. Maybe somewhere else on the bike or in combination with a Ducati logo of your choice - 80's logo?
About the brake lines: you mentioned they are for a stock S2R 800 brakes. Different place on the calipers to mount, so you ended up with them pointing backwards instead of the intended upwards. I don't know if it really matters though.

These brake lines have banjo fittings that can rotate. So I rotated the banjo 180* and she worked just dandy.

is it me, but those clip ons are SUPER wide. it looks like they could be 2-3 inches shorter each side and still fit nicely.
would love to see the logo on the side panels below the seat or more so on the seat cowl across the top and one side. kind of like the old number plates. but on the tanks, ehhh.
I LOVE the red lines.

Fair enough. I may just get some ducati masks for the tank and to the circle on the rear cowl when I get it.
The bars are just wide enough to fit everything... throttle, switches, brakes. I can get some close ups of individual bars in teh next day or so.
It might also be the angle I have the bars at. They are fairly straight right now, and I'm thinking of rotating them back just a hair.

IT"S ALIVE! Sounds great. Just need to get the throttle cable so I can take it for a ride.
Video with sound of the Remus exhaust as soon as I get my camera found.

It's alive! throttle cable just came in. Neil Armstrong approves:
Temporarily flat white still... have a tank and fender that can be painted while these are on the bike... just have to figure out what I want.

Been looking around for one for cheap, just cant swing the 80 for the fiberglass one from monsterparts right now. Saving up for a deposit on a rental house and an enclosed trailer.

Back from the dead I suppose. But, just figured I'd put up some pictures now that I wrenched on it a little bit today. Still far from done.... money isn't as quick coming in as I had thought it would be. But I tell ya what, I had forgotten how shiny a fresh-outta-the-box ducati paint job was. Mmmmmmmm....
New tank bought off this board sitting on the couch back in Indiana. Pretty much brand new, only problem is that it's black/tangerine and I have a red frame.
Finally, two moves later, the black tank and flat black front fender (again, off this board, nearly brand new) are put on
Methinks it needs a black engine and some ceramic on the pipes....
Some wire routing to do, and you can see the beat up clutch cover... cant see the beat up frame too well
Clean top triple/bars. Mirror on right is cheap ebay mirror. Mirror on left is Rizoma. I would buy the Rizoma part over the ebay part.
Gotta love the Pazzos on 999r masters
And this is what I was talking about... my bike hasn't been this shiny since DiTR '08!

LOVE the paint. Have you considered lowering the gauges, they look a little out of place pearched way up there. Looks great. [moto]

Nope. I'm gonna put a ram mount on teh steering stem nut and use that nice little space below the guages and between the bars for a nice GPS.

GPS on a naked bike? Really? Are you touring through major metropolitan areas?
Be careful not to play with it whilst riding.
