Im good and out of the way of danger, things seemed to return to normal tonight.

Some of the aftermath from last night

Redshirts, now with military gear. they didn't have these before the skirmish.

No live rounds were fired

For the fallen, not sure the story behind this. Death toll up to 21 from yesterdays violence.

Yikes...you're not telling yourself "WTF am I thinking?" right now, but you will be when you get out of there--which I highly recommend doing as quickly as possible.  Stay safe, man.

Dan, awesome photos.  waytogo Now get inside and keep your head down, you dipshit.  Until Reuters is paying you for that shit, stay inside, find some hot Aussie or German backpackers, and get really really drunk and really really naked.  You gotta get that clap ticker movin' again.  And then come out only when you run out of booze or when there's a stable government.

P.S.  If you'd like climbing, work your way down to Krabi (about an hour from Phucket). Good climbing, easy to hire a guide and gear, nice beaches, and lots of backpackers.  Then again, I was there pre-tsunami.

What Spidey Said. Also try Koh Lanta, just south of Krabi. Like spidey I went there pre-sunami, but it was a great, out of the way place to chill.

He's been up and down the Himalayas since he last posted here.

Given the limited internet access I think he can be forgiven for not posting here as well as his blog.
