a little bit... a few inches at the toll plaza and of course the Western span of the upper deck had it's usual standing water, as it always does whenever it rains.  The wind blows harder on that side too.  Worst part was just before the island--for some reason there are some really nasty updrafts there.  It's disconcerting on the bike.  It was so powerful that it blew rain up under my visor--which was snapped shut.  WTF?!  I kept my RPM up and my head down--seemed to work OK for getting through it.

The wind flowing around the island creates a low pressure area at the base compared to the top. This causes the air to flow in the vertical plane. When I fly the approach to Oakland on a day like today you get a bumpy ride as you go over top of the island.

The SBK is in the City, so a right-minded gal would just stay there with it.   cheeky

Pick a bridge and cross it between 11 and 1 tomorrow.  It's supposed to get ka-ra-zie.  60 mph gusts possibly.  Doubt it'll get that windy on the Bay, but I'm pretty sure the gusts I felt today were 30 mph +.  It'll do 40+ on the BB for sure.  Woot!   popcorn

Perfect for a ride with full fairings and extra light wheels, AKA a 'kite'.

I have gone from being the Idiot that rides his motorcycle in any weather conditions to that Idiot that rides his bicycle in any weather condition...  and i gotta say, the moto is easier, but at least I don't have to deal with any 2000lb+ idiots trying to kill me! (only 50lb+ ones... dogs, kids, etc)
