Well I bought a new Monster; 2004 M800 with lots of bling & only 5400 kms on the clock. If I could attach pics I'd show you, he is sooooo hot! Wasn't planning on upgrading but this bike caught my eye again & again, seemed to be just waiting for me. So it was a sad goodbye to the M600 & a great big grin after riding the new one home. Can't wait to get to Tassie & spend 2 weeks of quality time & roads getting to know him.

Bling:

Alloy bar clamps
Billet alloy laser etched reservoir caps
Rizoma bullet indicators - front
Rizoma fat bar
Ducati Performance LED mirrors, it came with Rizoma mirror, right hand only & I can't ride like that so it's off & replaced with the mirrors from the 600.
Oxford Sports Hot Grips (blasphemy I know but, I removed Rizoma grips that were on it cos I like my fingers to be toasty warm)
Carbon fibre front guard
Carbon fibre air intakes
Carbon fibre sprocket cover
Carbon fibre side covers
Remus Grand Prix carbon fibre slip ons
Ventura rack
Mad Dr integrated LED tail light assembly
The rear end has been modified & made tight & tidy

I am one happy woman  [moto]

I am so rapt I've been smiling for weeks; signed the deal 2 weeks ago but then went on holidays so didn't get him til Tuesday this week. No big ride as yet, hopefully the weather will oblige this weekend & Tuesday, new rear tyre needs scrubbing in & I need to get to know him before hitting Tassie for Turismo. Can't wait to get into the twisties on him.

I have a couple of Ventura bags, thanks.

I traded the M600; she was a great bike but getting on in years & kms (138,000 but she had a 680 kit installed at 100,000km)) needed a bit of tlc/cash spent on her; new rear tyre, 40,000 km service, clutch was playing up. I was happy with the trade in price but sad to leave her behind.

Thanks guys.

Spider - Has, what I have been told, is a custom paint job; gloss black with orange stripes (1 fat, 1 skinny) running along the tank & seat cowl on the right hand side.

Paul - Yeah I am looking to sell the grips & the Rizoma right hand mirror, if any one is interested. Both are black, I'd put up pics but for some reason don't seem to be able to! Is it me?

Hi Trinity
Congrats on the new bike.  Can't wait to see it at turismo.  When are you catching the ferry over?

Most of us struggle to post pics at first.  I found this thread really helpful:
http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=109.0

You have to host your pics somewhere like flickr or photobucket.  Go down a few posts in the thread and somegirl explains it really well.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

On the ferry sat night (6th Feb)

There are a few of us on that ferry (including Heather). This Turismo thing is turning into a bit of a girl's ride.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Oh yeah ... and congrats on the new bike!

I will see you on the boat going over but I have to get back for work (maybe) so will be returning to Melb on Mon night 15th.

Loony, Meanie - Think I just found Cougartown
(although I think I'm probably the only one old enough to be one!)
