That was a hell of a show.  I wish we could see an Italian bike show like that in the U.S.  We have one every September, but it doesn't compare to that one.  I really liked the Monster in pics 17 & 18.  That is a very cool swingarm and exhaust.

i know it would be painful to ride!

it's a Gilera Saterno with some funky gizmo on the valve train.  it's a DOHC single, they were very popular for a while, went out of biz in the 80s and now (?) make only scooters.

Ducatiz, thanks for the name of the Gilera.  I found this information and pic of a stock Saturno

"In post-war Italy, the biggest rival to the iconic Moto Guzzi Falcone was the Gilera Saturno. Only six thousand of these elegant 500 cc singles were produced in Arcore from 1946 to 1958, but they left a strong impression on the history of motorcycling. Engineer Giuseppe Salmaggi actually designed the Saturno in 1938: it's a testimony to the quality of his work that the svelte Gilera became the favored mount of racing privateers a decade later, with class-leading acceleration and handling."


It appears the earlier year versions of the Saturno had girder style forks.

you need to go to Italy to one of the big swap meets.. but wear a condom, you'll be jizzing about every 10-20 feet.
