"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Nice rear suspension work...and them's RMZ450 Showas up front unless I'm very much mistook.

Kind of look like WP from a KTM.

can you imagine how poorly that would perform?  heavy and slow.

Heavy? A stock V50 weighs around 350 lbs. wet and this one should be even lighter. Yes, it probably only has about 30 rwhp.

My MZ Silver Star has a whopping 34 bhp and weighs 349 lbs. Most fun I've had on a motorcycle in a long time (probably since my last Morini). Teaches you to be a good rider, not one that relys on horsepower to mask the lack of skill.

why thank you for your arrogant assessment of my riding ability.  you obviously know me well.

compare that v50 to any normal 500cc ish off rider and it'd be slow, heavy and crap was my point.  but then again, i'm often wrong.

I took the "assessment" as a general comment, not a jibe.  One learns to be a better rider when one isnt able to rely just on HP.....

Its a fair point.  We know small capacity Guzzis are slow and heavy.  It is possible to still have fun on such a ride though.  And this one - IMO - is cool.  Slow, heavy but cool.  And I'd love to own something like it.

You touched a happy nerve for me there.  My 350cc Morini 3 1/2 was underpowered when compared to most 250cc machines of the era.  Yet, it taught me to become a better rider.  My boots got worn out from grounding on that bike (no knee downs in those days  [laugh]).  A low power, grin-from-ear-to-ear machine.

Definitely wasn't intended as a "jibe" at anyone.

You're relatively new here, and not everything everyone says is completely clear until you have some posting history. Your original comment could have been taken personally.

The comment about someone being touchy is personal, and completely unnecessary.

Lol, they aren't being touchy, just long established puffery. :-)  Like two friendly cocks meeting on the sidewalk.

i just get sick of the response to calling a bike slow being "you don't know how to ride".
