1975 Benelli Bimota.  Who knew?  Was there any engine that Bimota didn't try?

i have to assume using the Sei was someone's brother in law calling in a favor.  it's not a particularly good performance engine

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

The engine does look too wide and heavy to be on the track. Still it is a cool combo. Probably only one was made.

Yeah, but it sure does sound good whilst performing poorly!   laughingdp

Huh? 1975? The 900 didn't appear until 1980. And where does it say "Bimota"? But I'm being pedantic, the bike looks great. I have always had a soft spot for Beneli sixes, since riding one (a 750) back in the day. I must say though, that I thought it handled superbly, and was certainly not a candidate for the Bimota treatment. But what do I know?

It's a 750 overbored to 900.

I think the fairing/seat was made by Bimota, and the bike was customized by an owner, not Bimota.

I've seen it all over the web as a "Benelli 750 spec Bimota" but since I can only find the ONE, I think it's a one-off.

I always liked the Benelli sixes.  Not for what they could or couldnt do, but for the way that they did what they did.

749 based naked... pretty cool.   perhaps they should have removed the tabs on the oil cooler that are going unused since they went to the trouble of removing "some" of the frame tabs (but not all....)

Great execution otherwise.

hey, how do you pose something so that you can have such a "blank" background - and still have the 'floor shadows' but no sidestand or other type of stands, and it doesn't look like hell around the edges?
