Any ideas on what battery could be used to accomplish hiding it like this?  This is exactly what im trying to go for with my guzzi's frame/motor nakedness but it has such a HUGE battery!!

Yes.  The battery is on the bench.  Notice no wires too.   Ultimate naked.

Love the bike, but isn't that rear shock a little bit too much out of center?

With **9 SBK forks, yes. Standard SC front fender lines up with 848/1098/1198 forks just fine.

I just think SBK fenders look like an unfinished thought. They're graceful and shapely at the front. And then you get to the back end where it's supposed to be tucked behind a fairing and it just ends, like they couldn't be bothered to continue to design what wasn't going to be seen.

I agree -- with the SBK front fender on a naked bike, my brain immediately thinks "why bother?" It's not like it's actually fending spray or debris away from rider or engine, so why even leave it on - except to protect the fork sliders, and if you're building a custom bike there's got to be a much less kludge-y way to do that.

In general, I love the bike, but I have the same reaction to the fender...

Not sure if this will ever get off the drawing board, but I like it - a Paul Smart-ish body kit for modern monsters from Nicolas Petit (I saw it first on Bike EXIF)
