What is the benefit?  Weight-loss?

same principle as free floating rotors.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

the brake force is transferred to the engine (or frame on some bikes) instead of into the swingarm, isolating the braking force from suspension force.  probably mattered back in the day when swingarms were licorice.

now it's just a fancy look.  is race mate.

It is a 'new' Monster frame . . .the rest, well, it's Italian re-made in Germany . . .

Here's the original, which as appeared in this thread and others. I just really like to see this kind of creativity 'making it.'

These beasts look fast sitting still. I like it. I'd have to get me a pair of asbestos britches in case I decided to scooch back on the seat a few inches.

The seat itself might not be longer than a foot.

Yep, that's the replica in Solvang.
Supposedly the guy made 3 of them.

The story on the crank was that the rider missed a shift and bent it.

Looks like JvB Moto has been busy. In addition to the red bike there were two more shown recently.
