Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Did I miss the unveiling of this new creation. Does it have a name? Is there a link?

This is very nice, very handsome. I like the understated look.
I would chop the cans about 1-2" but nothing else. Maybe not even that, depends on the look from other angles.
Very slick.

I know you didn't build it that way...
but why does it look like there's a dent in the tank?

There was an unveiling thread somewhere.
Bike has a single can on a high-comp, cammed, ported 1078cc motor so I wanted to try & keep noise in check.
Tank 'dent' is lighting as indicated.
This isn't Spidey's bike.
Bike has an aluminum subframe (-5.5 lb), Ohlins FG forks (53/56mm @ triples) and a seriously relocated oil pressure sensor.

Still think I'll go this route if I ever end up doing more work on the SC.

That's the route I'm going w/Betty ('99 SS1000i.e.) except I'm going w/larger valves and an 1123cc kit.

Gilera is one of the Italian bike firms that just frizzled. They had the same path as Moto Ducati -- making tiny rinky dink bikes but never got the acclaim in racing that Ducati did.
It is very possible that if Mike Hailwood had ridden a Gilera, we'd all be spooging over Gileras -- he made Ducati a household word in racing outside of Italy.
Gilera, Fantic, Malaguti, etc etc.. All frizzled.
Cagiva would have made it if those Castiglionis could keep away from the coke and hookers.
