酒後吐真言

« on: January 25, 2010, 11:47:59 PM »

The last couple of years it's been a multicultural affair, a progressive brekky, lunch, dinner round the neghbourhood with varous nationalities of friends, unfortunately this year had to work so home now and just watching the cricket. ( yawn)

What a great idea Brimo, I might try that next year.

Heaps happened with us today. The roofers came and put the roof on the extension (waking the neighbours at 8:00am), we pulled out the old kitchen (sold it on ebay  waytogo ) , took the paint off the old redgum door step, then gave a BBQ a major clean. I just came in from cooking a barbie whilst listening to the end of the hottest 100 and drinking some Pirramimma Stocks Hill Shiraz ( Dan's is out of the white lable Piramimma  Sad ).

went to a national park and walked around the forest and mountains, had a barbie (best burger EVER!) with a nice Dos XX beer or two and washed the gravel and crap (interesting road JC took me on) off the bike. A good day.

Had a quiet day at home - watched a bit of cricket, drank a few imported beers, BBQ lunch, then washed n polished the S2R and put it back in the shed.  Great day in the sun here in tropical Adelaide! Grin

0400 - 0800 watch, Cape Upstart to Cape Bowling Green.

Had brekky, then a coffee while chin-wagging with the 3rd mate on the bridge.  coffee
Then did an inventory of our chemical protective gear and breathing apparatus.
Another coffee on the bridge with the 2nd and 3rd mates.  coffee

Lunch  bacon

After lunch I tried to get signal so I could post on OzMonsters - no luck...
So I had a snooze while the boys tied the ship up in Townsville.

1600 - 2000 cargo watch.
Discharged 600 tonnes of Caltex "super premium unleaded" to Shell. Shell will then sell it as "V-Power"  Roll Eyes
Started the 2500 tonne discharge of "premium unleaded", the 3rd mate will finish it off.

I was going to have a couple of beers, being Oz Day and all. But we sail at 0200 so I won't get much sleep tonight  bang head

Slept in (as much as we can!)

Cleaned the espresso machine and tested over 2 double (well, ok with a 22g basket, it's really a triple) lates

Took the family to a local park for a run around, ended up with a late lunch at one of the inner wests finest cafes.

Ended the day with some good local cans, and a rolled lamb shoulder on the weber (and more cans!) with some good friends.

Not a bad day at all!

Awesome day...
