Navigation is updated via a DVD that is in the trunk.  The DVD stays in the player at all times. The company that puts out DVD does a new one each year.  They cost $185 + 9.95 shipping.  Sometimes they do free shipping, sometimes there is a discount on the disc but it is very rare. www.hondanavi.com

Now there are countless threads online of people trying to find a way to copy the disc.  I would say 99% of people are unsuccessful.  Everyone is saying it takes the right combination of dvd burner, media, copy technique and burn speed to get it to work.  So making a copy of a newer disc is sort of out of the question.  If you could find a way I am all ears. :p The only real good thing I could say is there is a good market for older dvd's on eBay.

This car has had the Nav DVD updated in either 06 or 08, can't remember.

It should cover my needs as is, or at least get me close.

Well that Nav is more up to date then my gf's.  She still has the original DVD from 2003 :p  Once we get some extra cash we are going to get the new one.
