New Belgium Brewing Company will add a second brewery in Asheville, NC.

http://blogs.westword.com/cafesociety/2012/04/new_belgium_will_build_a_secon.php

I am excited about this!  Maybe I need to get a second job there!  It's only 30ish minutes away!

Cinco de Mayo was a good excuse to revisit some Mexican Lagers.  Had a Cinco, by del Norte out of CO. Also tried their Orale and Manana, which are all pretty decent. Had a 'Mexican Logger' from Ska Brewing, also out of CO.

I'm a hardcore hop-head, but I still dig a good lager or pilsner at times.

Enjoying a local beer right now, the brewer of which just started bottling; previously the only place you could get it was on tap in local bars. Called Stickum, a Sticke-Altbier. Very good.

The weekend is off to a good start.
