Best thing about drinking beer for 20 years?  It is not the tiny little beer belly.  It is being firm in my knowledge that a piss water beer only once crossed my lips.  I tried to drink a Bud once.  I was lost in the desert for ten hours in S.E Oregon after a cross country paraglider flight.  I finally got a ride and the guy offered me a Bud.  General rule of thumb when in SE Oregon; When a rancher offers to share his beer while driving down a lonely road, you accept it with much gratitude.  I still did not finish it.......  Cool

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

No, we're saving up for our Christmas time ED (new [my turn] BMW 335, picking up at the factory in Munich), I'm sure to enjoy a beer or two along with some Gluhwein (mulled wine).

Be sure to stop at the Falling Rock and have a pint or three.  drink  drink  drink

Not German, but by far my favorite pils.

Nice. The only Austrian beer I've found here is Stiegl (both Pils and Gold), which I enjoy, too.

I had this at the 19th Annual Holiday Ale Festival in Portland.

Quote
Oakshire Brewing
Prestidigitation
White Chocolate Milk Stout • ABV: 7.0% • IBUs: 23
With a sleight of hand and a few smoke and mirrors, Oakshire's created this anomaly of a beer style. Blonde in color, yet full-bodied and mildly sweet, this milk stout uses coffee, cocoa nibs and star anise to produce the flavors and aromas of a milk stout with the color of a pale ale.

It looked like a lager & tasted like a stout.

Finally got to try Sam Adams Utopius over the weekend.

PRO-very tasty, Very high (28%ish) alcohol, very cool bottle. Will hold for a while once open

CON-very pricey (and I refuse to buy it on the secondary market. luckily I got a guy in New London CT), Not something you "drink" more of a sipping drink like port. It is a pallet wrecker, after it everything else tasted off.
