Figured I'd try Sam Adams Rebel Rider Session IPA. Sucks...the guys at Sam Adams have no idea how to make a "west coast IPA".

2 Pike brews in the fridge plus a growler full of Standard Brewing's Rye IPA.

In defense of Sam Adams (I can't believe I just said that), it is a session IPA, after all. I wouldn't expect it to compare to a regular IPA, let alone a west coast IPA. Have you tried Stone's or Lagunitas session IPA? I'm curious how they compare. The whole 'session IPA' seems like such an oxymoron, I haven't been very keen to try them.

Kinda like an Imperial Lager..... Why?

Nah, haven't tried them. I might give them a shot though, out of curiosity. I don't mind that the SA beer is lighter...it just doesn't taste good though.

No-Li Brewhouse out of Spokane might be my new favorite all-around brewery. Every beer I've had so far has been very good, and their Imperial IPA is one of the best I've ever had.

Their Crystal Bitter was one of my favorites. I guess it became the Spin Cycle Red, but the stores here quit carrying them so I have no idea if it's still as good.
