St Bernardus 12 is my current favorite treat-myself-to-an-$18-bottle-of-beer beer
If I can find it, Leffe Dark is one of my favorite Belgians - Maredsous is something I will also muscle down if I absolutely have to. Actually, I am not picky - any of the big Belgian beers are alright by me. On that note, a good bargain and a good representation of Belgian for a domestic is New Belgium Abbey.
Dogfish Head IPAs are good - plus one to that
. When I am not treating myself to Belgian beers, I tend to like the really hoppy stuff. Breckenridge 471 is that, but balanced - the way I like it. I recently tried Avery's The Maharaja on tap - insanely hoppy. I wouldn't recommend that to anyone who doesn't want a brief out-of-body experience.

I enjoy Arrogant Bastard Ale, and some Eye of the Hawk from the Mendo Brewing Co. And lets not forget the ol' 64oz Mickeys!

Last weekend, for my Bday, I went a toured at Troegs brewery...learned a lot and was impressed with how they do business and conduct themselves...talked with 1 of the brothers, Chris about some specific things and he was quick on giving me the right answers....or at least they sounded right...

I went to a local craft brew fest over labor day weekend, I left with a nice buzz and a new favorit brand. 21st ammendment out of SF. They have a black IPA that is very good, as well as a watermellon wheat that is better than any flavored beer that I have ever tried.
