Does anyone know if the Motrax come with mounting hardware? Seems like a pretty good price for a Rizoma-like mirror.

Great info everyone!  [beer]

I appreciate the feedback and the pics of the mirrors actually installed. I should have mine in a couple weeks and I'll post up my opinion of them.

The Motrax come with three plastic rings of different thicknesses just like those on the M-Label model to be used as shims as necessary.  All you do is slide the mirrors onto your handlebar or barend weights/sliders and tighten the bolt to fasten to preferred mounting position.

Also found these instructions (http://bolty.net/2009/07/31/how-to-install-rizoma-reverse-retro-bar-end-mirrors-on-an-sv650/) for installing the Rizomas on SV650, but may be helpful.

i agree, i think Rizoma buys these, machines their own shell, and glues it on. if you compare, the back of the rizoma body is a deeper, here the knuckle is, there is more of a gap, like they just atrtach their own backing

i like the style, but for half the price, i would buy these.

They look like the Triumph ones:

These look pretty good for the money! I'm very frustrated with my Napoleons as they refuse to stay in position...they flop back with wind pressure and bumps and need constant adjustment.

Anyways...

So these attach to the handlebars?  This would be a problem for me as I use a high-rise Magura and the control bits on the right are all as far in on the bar as possible, with less than an 1/8 of bar showing.  Clamping them on to a bar-end would be possible but I'd be concerned that the bar-end could then turn inside the bar and I'm back to the problem with the Napoleons.  Cutting down the throttle tube would be an option I suppose...

the mirror itself or the arm?  Hell I fell over one day and the mirror took the brunt of the impact.  Other than bending the bolt inside the arm, they were still rock solid.

The mirror assembly rotates about the axis of the handlebar.  I tried tightening it, of course, but then then the rubber bung starts extruding itself  pushing the whole thing out.

I just ordered a set so I will post a review after I receive and install them.  I'm currently using Napoleons...I like the view, but I just cant get them to stay in place at high speed.

Have your Napoleons always had trouble staying in place?  Maybe they have loosened over time.  Mine never move from where I put them.  Are there different brands of Napoleon mirrors or is Napoleon a brand name?

I just checked and mine say "Napoleon - Made in Japan" on the inside of the the stem.
