Some time ago we were asked for the SpeedyMoto Iron Cross clutch cover that was discontinued a few years ago. We recently found a company that has come out with a few clutch covers and were asked if would be interested in selling them.

Here is their first prototype, Corse Dynamics just delivered it for test fit. It is super stong, made from a 7.5"X2.0" billet piece of alum. This is a prototype and is currently in raw aluminum and will change in appearance drastically once anodized.

What do you guys think about the style of it, what colors do you guys want to see, etc. etc?

I think the obvious 3 would be clear, black and red.

It looks like a very well made cover.

Nice looking iron cross.  Might be a bit too strong for a Ducati and the expesso drinking crowd, IMHO.  As for color, I would prefer Black, Clear, and bronze/gold

I reckon a dirty bronze would look sick on that (possibly only with a mag side cover though).

Totally, or even possibly a copper that would age over time.

I really dig that design, if only I had a dry clutch.

Looks like a nice piece of billet.  I'd go with black, titanium/silver/clear, and the bronze mentioned.  Doesn't scream a red to me...

I think the Iron Cross on a motorcycle is played out.  I wouldn't put one on my Harley and especially not on my Ducati.  It's tacky.

what does the iron cross even mean?

But what about in motorcycling? I only know it as a symbol of german aircraft in WWII. And unless everyone who flies it is a nazi flyboy...i dont get whats so crazy about it. Im pretty sure it developed as a cult thing, not sure why the nazi airforce would call it an "iron cross" that would just make the plane heavier.

junior varsity

i think it has to do with the holy warrior mentality. more the warrior part.

The iron cross is NOT a Nazi thing.  Yeah, they used it.  But it wasn't the symbol of the movement, and they didn't come up with it.

To put it simply, it was given to badasses in the German Army for being bad asses.

That's what it has to do with motos... they harley guys wanting to be bad asses :P

This is in the German pow cemetery on the Base where I work. There are Italian soldiers buried there as well.
